Sifting Through the PR Agencies Available
The U.S. has many excellent PR agencies with fine reputations. However, Abelow PR stands out in this sea of options across the country because we have intentionally limited our expansion so that we can provide principal-level involvement and seasoned pros to work on the accounts.
For these clients, we conduct multi-faceted public relations campaigns. This level of attention sets us apart from larger agencies where the principals pitch the business and attend key meetings, but the day-to-day account activities are conducted by young professionals who often have limited experience. Lorraine Abelow and her seasoned staff are involved on a daily basis with all facets of the campaign.

We Offer a Variety of Public Relations Campaigns Options
Another reason why Abelow PR is different from other PR agencies it that we plan multi-faceted campaigns that encompass:
- Press releases (the nuts and bolts of all PR agencies)
- Events that garner the attention of top editors
- Creative and clever cross promotions with sympathetic brands
- Optimization for Search Engine Visibility
- Online media campaigns
- Media tours in major U.S. markets
- Satellite TV media tours
- Radio media tours
- A variety of other tactics, all designed to enhance our client’s product’s core brand equities and competitive edge.
Cross promotions and contests with compatible brands, which other PR agencies do not, by and large, do. These are a specialty at Abelow PR, and are often essential tools of a campaign.
For example, for Noilly Pratt Vermouth, Lorraine worked out a contest where the public was invited to send in ideas of “what is not too dry and not too sweet about life” based on the product’s tag line. Thousands of entries were reviewed, and the winner got a trip for two to Paris and a stay at the Hotel de Crillion, along with dinner with the film director Louis Malle.
Another example is a fashion show of wedding gowns modeled by Ford models, which the agency held at Bernardaud, the French porcelain dinnerware manufacturer’s flagship store for brides-to-be. The show was promoted at bridal shops of 108 Bloomindgdale’s across the country.
For travel public relations, we conducted an award-winning contest for Hilton International with a Nationwide Search for the 100-Year-Old Traveler. Willard Scott of the Today Show was the honorary judge. Entrants had to be one hundred years or older, and were invited to send in essays describing a trip they would like to a place they had never been, anywhere in the world. American Express provided travelers checks for the winner, who was invited on the Jay Leno Show.
Abelow PR provides a level of service and ingenuity that truly makes us stand out against other PR agencies.
