And recently my husband and I took a cruise through Greenfield Hill’s Dogwood Festival in Fairfield County. What a beautiful site: several miles leading from the beachfront to the hills of dogwood trees at the height of their bloom. Pink and white blossoms dotted each tree.</p>

<p>Since founding my <a href="http://www.abelowpr.com/our-services/online-pr/" target="_blank">public relations NYC</a> metro firm twenty years ago, I have had the good fortune of visiting places in Europe and Asia, where the flora and fauna has been stunning. Last year in Bali, everywhere there were offerings to gods in the form of flower petals and incense in little baskets at the foot of sculptures of deities.</p>
<p>The year before, I was in India, and in the southern part of the country, its tropical. Kerala was resplendent with tropical landscapes. At the Leela Kovalam, the hotel company I was representing, there were very large tropical trees all groomed on the property, which was extensive. The hotel stood on a cliff overlooking the Indian Ocean, so the fact that the other side had tropical trees made it a very rich and diverse landscape.</p>
